Position: Senior Associate Scientist-DMPK Bioanalysis

The Bioanalysis Group at Paraza is seeking an energetic and results-oriented individual to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate is expected to have experience in liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry techniques with strong interpersonal communication skills and high productivity. The candidate will be expected to work independently within a team structure, to develop LC-MS/MS methods, prepare bioanalysis samples and analyze samples using mainly LC-MS/MS. The key responsibilities of the successful candidate include the following:

  • Develop LC-MS/MS methods for small or large molecule detection
  • Prepare pharmacokinetic samples for Bioanalysis
  • Operate and maintain LC-MS/MS systems
  • Acquire, process and report data to support In vivo/In vitro DMPK, Biology and Chemistry groups

Minimum Qualifications

M.Sc. in chemistry, biochemistry or other similar discipline with at least four years of work experience. Alternatively a B.Sc. with at least ten years of work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in HPLC and mass spectrometry
  • Demonstrated laboratory proficiency
  • Good sense of prioritization and urgency to manage multiple requests in parallel
  • Knowledge of Xcalibur and Analyst software
  • Knowledge of GC-MS or proteomics is an asset.
