Whether working as fully integrated members of drug discovery teams or providing expertise to solve specific problems, our world-class Drug Discovery Experts can help reach program milestones from lead identification through lead optimization and development candidate selection.

The strength and consistency of our discovery team has led to the development and support of drug discovery programs with a range of collaborators from major pharmaceutical companies, biotech companies as well as non-profit organizations.

We are currently seeking to fill our Executive Director, Business Development position.  This position is based in our Boston office.

Job Description

Reporting to the President, the Executive Director of Business Development will be responsible for liaising with current and future client partners to establish and enhance collaborative relationships, meeting target business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of a business growth strategy focused both on financial objectives and customer satisfaction
  • Meet target financial and business goals
  • Identify business opportunities
  • Use knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
  • Seamlessly work with company scientific staff to attain client partners’ business objectives
  • Support existing client relationships
  • Work with internal teams to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns and objectives
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
  • Establish new collaborative relationships with client partners
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions
  • Participate in pricing of solution/service

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry or Biology
  • Over ten (10) years of drug discovery experience in pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven working experience in a business development role
  • Highly developed professional network in US biotech and pharmaceutical industry
